Molly is a litigator who represents companies and individuals in diverse legal areas across the country, including government regulatory and grand jury investigations, complex civil and commercial disputes including contract and business tort claims, and environmental and animal litigation.

She provides strategic, practical counsel that never loses sight of her client’s business objectives. And when it comes to high stakes litigation, she works closely with experts and consultants to navigate voluminous data sets, distilling complex technical issues to capture her client’s perspective concisely and persuasively.

In addition to litigating, she has presented to corporate counsel and bar association groups on the attorney-client privilege and ethical rules regarding confidentiality, especially as they relate to the in-house counsel role, and diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

  • Experience

    Molly has managed complex civil discovery practice in multiple federal and state cases. With both trial and appellate court experience, Molly has argued and defeated motions to dismiss, secured preliminary injunctions, and won a number of other pre- and post-trial motions for her clients. She has won multiple FOIA/sunshine act cases including attorney fees and costs, defended against SEC and DOJ investigations, and litigated administrative and regulatory issues pursuant to the APA, NEPA, ESA, FMIA, and CAA. In addition to courtroom experience, Molly has successfully mediated several multi-million dollar cases including ones involving multiple parties, international disputes, and media/public relations considerations. She is experienced in persuasively drafting pleadings, appellate briefs, preliminary injunction motions, mediation papers, and discovery motions.

        • Through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, Molly has successfully represented multiple clients in contested divorce, child custody, and child support disputes.
        • Working with the National Immigrant Justice Center, she currently represents clients from China and Cote d’Ivoire in defensive asylum proceedings.
        • Molly has represented local and national animal welfare organizations in federal litigation regarding the constitutionality of puppy mill ordinances.
