Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Adam Diederich has been named among Crain's Chicago Business' Notable Rising Stars in Law for 2021. This recognition highlights attorneys who have been partners for five years or less, and have served as leaders inside and outside of their firms, have made impacts in the field of law, and have been recommended by senior management.
After only six years as an associate, Adam became a partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Adam focuses his practice on resolving disputes among owners of privately held businesses, disputes regarding restrictive covenants (noncompete agreements) and confidential information, and business torts and contract claims. His experience also includes representation of professional associations, Freedom of Information Act requests, student discipline hearings, professional liability (malpractice) claims, data breach counseling, and trust and estate litigation. Adam is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
"I am honored to be included in this distinguished group of lawyers,” Adam said. “In addition to helping clients, I am committed to supporting my community. I am especially passionate about promoting equity in education."
Adam serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. Between college and law school, Adam taught fourth grade in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Teach for America corps member.
